HydrogenPro and J.H.K. enter into an exclusive partnership for green hydrogen projects in Germany, Austria and Benelux
HydrogenPro, a leading manufacturer in electrolyzer technology, and J.H.K., an established industrial plant construction and engineering company, are pleased to announce an exclusive partnership focused on the implementation of green hydrogen projects in Germany, Austria and the Benelux countries. As part of this collaboration, HydrogenPro will supply its state-of-the-art high-pressured alkaline electrolyzer technology, while J.H.K. will act as plant integrator and EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractor, managing project execution and successful delivery to customers.
The partnership targets green hydrogen projects in the range of 5 to 50 MW. This collaboration combines HydrogenPro's expertise in electrolysis technology with J.H.K.'s experience of more than a century in Balance of Plant and EPC services, creating a powerful combination aimed at accelerating the adoption of sustainable energy solutions across Europe.
Jarle Dragvik, CEO of HydrogenPro, emphasizes: " HydrogenPro is primarily addressing the large scale Hydrogen projects, but we recognizes that parts of the market are entering the energy transition in initial smaller scale scopes. J.H.K. brings the necessary know-how to use our advanced technology in smaller green hydrogen projects in the European market. This partnership enables us to offer a complete solution that integrates our state-of-the-art electrolyzers with J.H.K.'s experience in the EPC sector, creating a win-win situation for both companies and, more importantly, for our customers who are looking to transition to green energy. HydrogenPro is cooperating with Andritz AG on larger scale projects"
Julius Kramer, CEO of J. Heinr. Kramer Group, added: "This partnership is a major step forward in advancing green hydrogen solutions on an industrial scale. Based on the exceptional energy efficiency of HydrogenPro’s high pressure alkaline technology, we see good opportunities to meet the growing demand in the field of decentralized, green hydrogen production for use in industry, mobility and grid stabilization, thus enabling a more sustainable future.”
Together, HydrogenPro and J.H.K. are committed to delivering impactful green hydrogen solutions that support Europe's energy transition goals and accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral economy.

MFX_4 NEWS - HVO100
March 2024
The MFX_4 flow computers now have an extended temperature quantity conversion in accordance with
DIN EN 15940:2023, Annex B for paraffinic diesel fuels according to method 2.
This enables the custody transfer related correct measurement of dispensed fuels such as HVO100.
If required, existing systems can be updated to the latest firmware version 1.1.11 so that HVO100 can also be handled with the measuring systems.

Best Practice in Tank Storage Operation
Our first joint webinar with TIMM Elektronik took place on 03.05.2022.
In various presentations best practices in tank farm operations were presented. Mr Jörg Gregorius from TanQuid could be won as special guest. Even though not all of the more than 1,200 registered participants were able to attend, we were pleased to have a very international audience.
You could not participate in the webinar? Then please contact us at news@m-f.tech.
M+F and the sister companies of the J.H.K. Group are supporting Krailling Oils Development GmbH (KOD) in the further expansion of the Krailling bulk tank terminal
After KOD had first modernised loading facilities for road tankers for diesel fuels and heating oils in recent years, a further step is now in process of developing the tank farm into a full-range supplier for petrol stations. This will create a comprehensive, modern and future-oriented site in the south-west of Munich to secure the energy supply of the Munich metropolitan region. The tank farm is available as a competent partner to all interested companies in the field of petrol station supply and intermediate storage.
M+F and KOD signed a contract for the delivery, commissioning and calibration support of two complete "MOBOTOP" filling stations for simultaneous loading with diesel and gasoline in road tankers as well as several other individual filling stations for the storage and unloading of fuels in rail tank cars and for the supply of JET-A1 for Munich Airport.
In addition to the delivery of the custody transfer metering systems and MFX_4 flow computer, the order also includes the entire pipeline infrastructure with a total of approx. 6.000 m of pipelines in the nominal widths DN 100-DN250, pipe-road subways, a pipe bridge, additivation and heating oil marking systems as well as various accessories. The gasoline handling facilities are connected to a so-called Vapor Recovery Unit VRU by means of vapour recovery and thus meet the highest requirements in accordance with applicable European/German environmental protection requirements.
All newly added plant areas will be integrated into the tank farm management system COTAS® already installed on site, thus enabling all loading and unloading tasks to be carried out cost-efficiently and safely. The expected duration of the project is one year.

M+F supplies TPC leak detection system
30.09.2019
Tight Pipe Check (TPC) is a powerful equipment for checking the leak-tightness of pressurised pipe systems. It is based on the well known Pressure-Step Method which has been further developed and improved. Appliance of TPC allows for the detection of extremely small leaks . The M+F TPC system for the detection of chronic leaks is to be used for an underground transfer pipeline between two plant sections of a refinery.
The pipeline has a length of 4,070 m and a nominal diameter of DN300. There are two river crossings in the route and a section that is conventionally laid underground. In addition, the above-ground sections of the pipeline will be heated.
The tightness test is carried out when the pipeline is at a standstill between two closed valves, which must be technically tight. The pipeline must be under pressure and be completely filled with liquid at anytime and anywhere. Due to the different media and operating conditions it is necessary to design the TPC system for the special requirements.
M+F will design and supply a test skid with a storage tank, DBB valves, a pump with frequency converter, other valves, field devices for the EMSR technology as well as the TPC software.

M+F delivers 18 Metering Skids at Misr Petroleum in Egypt
01.02.2017
In 2015, Misr Petroleum took the decision to establish new Petroleum depot. Together with Petrojet as the main EPC, they started to design the new terminal for 18 skids in Badr City, based on state-of-the-art technologies, replacing old flow measuring technology Positive Displacement with Coriolis Mass Flow measurement, implementing advanced flow computers, and complete terminal automation. After having many companies bidding, M+F Technologies GmbH was awarded this project in February 2016. M+F is a German based solution provider specialized in offering complete systems for loading stations and metering systems. They have more than 30 years of experience delivering loading solutions all over the world and more than 18,000 installation of its flow computer MFX_4. At the core of any metering system is the flow meter. M+F chose the Coriolis Mass flow meter OPTIMASS 6400 from KROHNE Messtechnik GmbH because KROHNE has tremendous experience in manufacturing Coriolis flow meters since the 80s, one of the very few companies that can meet the challenging requirement of liquid flow accuracy (±0.05% of measured value) and repeatability, and with competitive price. Through international cooperation between M+F and KROHNE, IAC (M+F representative in Egypt) and RMS Engineering (KROHNE representative in Egypt), a special tailored system was developed. The 18 skids were constructed in Hamburg, Germany. Factory acceptance test was held on July 2016 testing the system under different non-ideal situations. Overall uncertainty of the system was even better than the requested uncertainty in Misr Petroleum tender. The 18 metering systems are currently installed at Misr Petroleum new terminal in Badr. Petrojet is finishing other site construction and it is expected that terminals will be into operation by mid of 2017.
